Our Board of Directors is comprised of a diverse group of leaders from various industries and organizations who bring a wealth of experience and insight to guide the Foundation. Together, they help shape our vision, ensure our strategic goals are met, and uphold the values that define our work.

Phil Watts

Chairman of Southside Foundation
Retired President, Control & Power, Inc, an industrial distribution company.

Phil is a member, trustee, and life deacon of Southside Baptist Church.

Rusty Bennett

Rusty Bennett

Treasurer of Southside Foundation
CEO, Collaborative Solutions, Inc.

Rusty formed Collaborative Solutions (CSI) in 2004 with other social work professionals concerned with the challenges our nation’s most vulnerable populations.
He is a member, deacon, and former deacon board chair of Southside Baptist Church.

Nancy Cook

Secretary of Southside Foundation
Vice President of Quality Enhancement, The Arc of Central Alabama

Nancy has I have a background in education and nursing with a degree in Home Economics Education from Mississippi State University and a BSN from UAB and is currently Senior Vice President of Quality Enhancement with The Arc of Central Alabama which provides Early Intervention Services, Residential Services, and Day Services for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.  I have been with The Arc for 28 years in different positions working with all services that The Arc provides.
She is a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Charlie D. Waldrep, a partner at Waldrep Stewart & Kendrick LLP, has practiced law in Birmingham for almost 50 years.
He is a Trustee at Southside Baptist Church and serves as General Counsel to the Foundation. 

Steve Alexander

Chairman, Five Points Alliance

Steve is an attorney in private practice here on the Southside of Birmingham, working mostly in the development of commercial real estate.

Annah Kelley

Southside Baptist Church deacon board representative; President and Founder, Lucky Content

Annah owns and operates a web design/digital outreach agency specializing in small businesses and nonprofits.
She is member and deacon of Southside Baptist Church.

Tim Kelley

Pastor, Southside Baptist Church

Tim serves as the pastor of Southside Baptist Church (SSBC). He is involved in multiple community-assisting organizations, serves on the HRC Board for The ARC of Central Alabama, and oversees the building usage of the Ministry Building at SSBC.

Melissa Robillard

Collateral Holdings, LLC

Carl is a member and former deacon chairperson of Southside Baptist Church.

Manisha Mishra

Deputy Director, Alabama Possible

Manisha directs all the education and poverty education initiatives at Alabama Possible while serving as a thought partner to the executive director. In addition, she manages the day-to-day operations of the organization.
